Nika’s road to the northcape
Training for NorthCape4000 through solo bikepacking and road cycling. Follow the journey as it happens.
Who I am?
Just a regular amateur road cyclist looking to upgrade her Strava stats and learn something new along the way. Explorer, creator, wanderer.
Why this journey?
I want to explore my mental and physical limits — and show honestly what it looks like to prepare for something big. For me, it’s 3000km, for you, it can be your first 10km on the bike.
How you can be part of it
I’m currently looking for partners and sponsors to support my journey to NorthCape4000 — and help me create meaningful, beginner-friendly content along the way.

Who is Whitesocks_Nika?
My Name is Nika, and my favourite thing to wear are some white socks.
I’m an amateur road cyclist who decided to aim a bit further than planned. I’m not a professional athlete or chasing podiums — I’m preparing for NorthCape4000 by riding, learning, making mistakes, and sharing the process as it happens. This journey is for anyone curious about bikepacking, road cycling, or wondering if they’re “ready enough” to start.
Explorer by nature. Creator by habit.
The NorthCape4000
NorthCape4000 is an unsupported ultra-distance cycling event from Italy to the North Cape, the northernmost point of Europe. The route covers 4,000 km, crossing multiple countries, climates, and terrains. Riders must be fully self-supported, managing navigation, logistics, rest, and repairs on their own, without outside assistance. NorthCape4000 is as much a mental challenge as a physical one.
The event is the goal.
The preparation is the story.

Want to Ride with me?
Riding these events in 2026
When I’m not at my desk, I’m usually out riding — exploring local routes around Maribor or joining social rides. Throughout the year, I’ll also be attending a few races and cycling events. If you’re there too, let’s ride together.
